Fixed weight labeling

Mushrooms and other types of funghi

leckere Champions

In this family business, the "whitest mushrooms" and other funghi are placed in containers of 250 g, 500 g or 1500, depending on customer requirement. Compliance with the nominal weight and the permissible weight deviation is checked on a scale; the containers are then enclosed in film.

The labeling with product name, fixed weight and date occurs on a downstream GV-E fully-automatic labeler [1] with blast head, (Fig. 1).

The 73 x 45 mm label is conveyed to the suction plate of the jet applicator and held by a vacuum. When the pack to be labeled is located beneath the blast head, the label is blown onto the pack by a powerful air jet.

Buyers, retail branches or speciality shops provide the funghi either pre-packed or as loose goods, using shelf pricing.

In the case of loose goods, end users can quickly find their product amongst the symbols on the self-service scales and obtain their own label for the till, see Fig. 2.
