the Coronavirus concerns us all and is also an omnipresent topic in the media. Especially in times like these, it is important for Bizerba that our customers and our partners can rely on us and that we exhaust all possibilities to help our customers.
Bizerba has already implemented a number of measures in this respect:
- A crisis team has been set up to coordinate all measures
- The crisis unit is in regular communication with each other and in direct contact with the responsible health authority
- Our company doctor is a permanent member of the crisis team
- The number of hand disinfection points was increased at our locations
- Employees are informed at regular intervals of the officially applicable rules of conduct (wash hands, keep your distance, etc.)
- Suspicious cases at Bizerba are treated individually according to the specifications of the official authorities and, if necessary, asked to work in the home office for safety reasons
- Travel restrictions have been implemented and are being implemented
In addition, we have prepared our production and material procurement to ensure the ability to deliver our products and solutions. Currently, all our production facilities are in operation and can produce normally. In close coordination with our suppliers and with the introduction of some preventive measures, such as the short-term increase of inventories or targeted additional work in selected areas, we are considering all possibilities to ensure our ability to deliver.
We are aware that even in today's digital world it is not possible to operate completely without personal contact. However, thanks to our innovative technologies such as Remote Service, we are already able to solve many issues with our customers without having to be on site. Against the background of the current situation, we will make increasing use of these possibilities where we can use them sensibly.
