Of course, Bizerba will be there as well and present hardware and software solutions for the modern fruit and vegetable trade in hall 4.1, booth C-13 at the Berlin Expo Center. This year, Bizerba‘s presence at the show will be centered around innovative systems for labeling of unpacked and pre-packed goods.

From global players to small and medium-sized enterprises, companies from the entire fresh-produce value chain will convene at the Fruit Logistica in Berlin from February 5 to February 7 where more than 3,200 exhibitors will provide a comprehensive overview of all innovations, products and services for all trade levels.

In hall 4.1, booth C-13, the company will showcase hardware and software solutions that support manufacturers in the fruit and vegetable business by providing innovative solutions for their progressing digitization and automation efforts, for improving their economic viability and for meeting international safety and hygiene standards. Bizerba thus enables manufacturing companies to comply with their customers‘ requests for increased quality of fresh food, transparency regarding its origin and detailed production data.

Perfectly Labeled and Checked in Real-Time

This year, innovative labeling solutions for unpacked and pre-packed goods will be in the focus of attention at Bizerba’s booth. As a specific highlight, the LDI 20 modular label dispenser, which particularly lends itself to the automatic labeling of unpacked fruit and vegetables, providing utmost flexibility for handling different package formats and package and label sizes, respectively. Thus, the LDI 20 results in increased transparency for consumers while at the same time strengthening the fruit producers‘ brand positioning.

Also, on display will be the GLM-Ievo 100 intelligent price and goods labeling system. Specifically designed for automatic weighing and labeling of pre-packed goods, the GLM-Ievo 100 system can be optimally configured for the products and performance requirements of the fresh-produce sector thanks to its modular design.

In addition to hardware, the increasingly digitized fruit trade needs software solutions to control and monitor all processes and machines. The BRAIN2 Portion_Control software app ensures quick manual portion weighing. Combined with Bizerba load receptors, the app detects any overfilled or underfilled packages in real-time, thereby relieving fruit traders from any weighing-related subsequent costs.
