| To strategically position itself for the future, solution provider Bizerba is expanding its Executive Board. As of April 1, 2025, Peter Riedel will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), taking responsibility for key business areas. With his extensive experience in the technology sector, he will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s transformation and continued development.

The market is evolving at a rapid pace and undergoing fundamental change. Digitalisation, shifting customer expectations, and increasing regulatory demands are forcing manufacturers and solution providers to continuously evolve their business models. Bizerba is responding with intelligent, connected solutions that support customers in this dynamic environment.

These developments affect the entire organisation. New requirements for processes, technologies, and structures call for ongoing adaptation. To remain successful in the long term, the weighing technology specialist from Balingen is driving its strategic transformation with determination. Initial steps have already been taken through targeted portfolio adjustments and structural changes. As the next logical step, the family-owned company is strengthening its Executive Board – a consistent move to advance technological development in a focused manner.

This will enable a targeted management and development of these critical segments.

With Peter Riedel, Bizerba gains a seasoned expert with over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Global Fight Against Food Waste
According to studies, up to one third of all food produced worldwide ends up as waste each year. This alarming figure is a growing concern not only for consumers, but it is also climbing the agenda of both the media and policymakers – especially in light of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12.3, which calls for halving global food waste by 2030. One of the key levers in this effort is the deployment of modern technology across the entire value chain.
