The manager of the Fromagerie d'Austerlitz in Lyon is personally committed to providing expert advice and listening to and fulfilling the needs of his customers. He sources his high quality products from regional and foreign wholesalers, affineurs and farmers. Whether hard or soft cheese, made from raw or pasteurised milk, with blue mold or truffles, he personally tests each variety for quality. The presentation also has to be right. Artfully arranged, the Fromagerie d'Austerlitz's cheeses are a delight not only in the shop, but also at festive occasions, where elaborate cheese platters are created. All this requires a weighing system that the sales team can rely on at all times.

Extensive Experience with Bizerba

When Jérémy Richard took over the fromagerie from his predecessor Didier Galland in April 2024, the question of the best partner for his technical equipment was quickly answered. Richard has been a cheesemaker for ten years and has gained a lot of experience with scales from Bizerba during this time. Although the models changed, each scale always met the respective requirements. Richard also remembered that Bizerba products are very high quality and that the company offers a fast, reliable service. And so he sought advice from sales representative Christophe Bessodes from the Bizerba Small Retail team.

Modular Weighing System as the Perfect Solution

The requirements for the right weighing solution were not ordinary. Richard needed equipment that could be perfectly integrated into his counter, and the system also needed to be modular. Richard had plans to remodel his new cheese boutique, and his scales needed to be adaptable to the changes. The Bizerba technology team succeeded in solving this task. The swiveling 12" monitors of the K-Class Flex PC scales - Richard is 1.90 meters tall, one of his employees 1.60 meters - were attached to the display cabinets and the scales to the counter, with careful attention paid to inconspicuous cable routing. In the end, all of this was implemented to Jérémy Richard's satisfaction. The conversion can begin!

His aim is to develop the store into a cheese boutique that is both traditional and modern. Jérémy Richard sources his cheeses from selected wholesalers, affineurs and farmers.
