Bizerba: Innovative solutions at the PARCEL+POST EXPO for the future of the logistics sector

Balingen, 08/28/2023

| Bizerba, a pioneer in intelligent technologies in the logistics sector, is once again set to showcase its latest innovations at this year's PARCEL+POST EXPO. The trade show will take place in Amsterdam from October 24-26. As usual, it promises to be an excellent opportunity to experience pioneering solutions for the postal, parcel and e-commerce industries.

In the logistics sector, precise weighing is important in any environment. Nevertheless, this dynamic industry is often plagued with disruptive factors. For example, vibrations from moving forklift trucks or oscillations in conveyor systems on mezzanines make accurate measurements much more difficult.

Bizerba's innovative Vibration Compensation Module (VCM) is sure to be a highlight of the fair. It offers an intelligent addition for reliable weight measurement, even under conditions of vibration and interference. This module, which can be integrated into existing solutions or used as an add-on for new devices, uses innovative technology and smart sensors to guarantee precise weighing in any situation.

Customized solutions for challenging applications

The CWL-L is a dynamic in-motion scale, which has been specially developed for logistics, and is set to be another highlight of the trade fair. The CWL-L offers precise weighing results, even at high speeds and under heavy loads. In combination with the Vibration Compensation Module, this solution enables reliable weight detection, even in environments where vibration occurs.

The CWL-L has a wide scope of application, from parcel distribution centers to e-commerce service providers and intralogistics. It can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems such as DWS systems, conveyor technology, and parcel shipping systems. This continuous scale can also be combined with Bizerba weighing terminals, labelers, scanners and volume measurement devices to offer a comprehensive solution.

Using AI to simplify complex processes

In a groundbreaking collaboration, digital solution providers Metrilus and Bizerba have developed the L135 Dimensioning & Weighing System, which promises unparalleled efficiency. The system enables recording, dimensioning and weight determination simultaneously and in a single step, with the highest precision and reliability. The basis for this is the intelligent interaction of two technologies: Metrilus’ computer vision technology MetriXFreight, and Bizerba’s innovative weighing technology.

The L135 outperforms conventional approaches. It can record all relevant parameters in a fraction of a second, using a smart camera and without any mechanically moving parts. The system can be seamlessly expanded to provide a comprehensive shipping solution. This includes the integrated BRAIN2 Global_Shipping shipping app, the GLP thermal label printer, and Bizerba’s resource-saving linerless labels.

Trade fair presence

André Weibrecht, Global Key Account Manager at Bizerba, is looking forward to the opportunities offered by this trade show: “Every year, the PARCEL+POST EXPO is a unique occasion for us to share our vision of innovative logistics solutions. Our innovations provide precise solutions to meet the needs of our ever-changing industry, and demonstrate our commitment to excellence.”

Visit Bizerba in hall 12, booth 216 to experience these innovations for yourself. A team of experts will be on-hard for talks, demonstrations and discussions.
