Great Ideas for retailers: Bizerba presents innovations for retail at NRF 2024

Balingen, 01/09/2024

| More than 6200 exhibitors from around the world will be meeting with decision-makers from the retail industry at the renowned Javits Convention Center in New York City. It's no wonder that the NRF trade show is referred to as the birthplace for great ideas. Bizerba, a worldwide leader in weighing technology, has been exhibiting there for many years and from January 14th to the 16th, 2024 will once again be presenting innovative solutions under the motto "Shape your future. Today.”

At the Bizerba booth in Hall 3, booth 3775, the company will be introducing a powerful range of products designed to transform the retail industry. It is particularly geared towards retailers that are interested in making their processes more efficient with digitalization, networking and automation to counter the prevailing staff shortages in the industry. Andreas W. Kraut, CEO & Partner of Bizerba, who will be at the event in New York, says that the scale manufacturer's vision has always been to create weighing solutions to not simply meet customer expectations, but to exceed them. "At Bizerba, innovation is at the core of our business endeavors. The solutions and technologies that we will be showcasing at NRF 2024 are designed to keep our customers on the cutting edge of the industry," said Kraut.

Powerful range of products for automated processes

Bizerba is presenting its latest cutting-edge products in the field of weighing technology this year with not one but two modular store scale solutions, the Q1 and the K3. In addition, the company will be presenting innovative software solutions, among them for object recognition and scale data management. The groundbreaking self-checkout solution with an integrated validation function, which nearly eliminates losses due to shrinkage during self-checkout, is yet another highlight. Other trade show highlights include the GSP HDI W premium diagonal slicer, setting global standards in the areas of ergonomics, hygiene, safety, and energy efficiency.

Top decision-makers coming together at a single location

For many years now, Ante Todoric has been visiting NRF on behalf of Bizerba. Going forward, he will head the entire Retail business unit at the solution provider and is well aware of the importance of NRF in the industry: "This trade show is not referred to as Retail's Big Show for nothing. The audience here is a global one and the discussions are of a particularly high quality. That's because the industry's top decision-makers come together in one place for three days." As an innovative technology provider, this is an opportunity that you simply cannot afford to miss, explains Todoric. He continues: "We have been able to make contacts here in the past that have resulted in great, long-term partnerships. These inspiring discussions at the show have yielded outstanding solutions for our clients. This is exactly what I would like to see again this year."

In addition to slicers and retail scales, Bizerba will also be introducing a self-checkout solution with integrated validation function at NRF

Global fight against food waste
According to studies, up to one third of all food produced worldwide ends up as waste each year. This alarming figure is a growing concern not only for consumers, but it is also climbing the agenda of both the media and policymakers – especially in light of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12.3, which calls for halving global food waste by 2030. One of the key levers in this effort is the deployment of modern technology across the entire value chain.
