| From February 18 to 20, 2025, Bizerba will showcase its latest innovations at EuroCIS 2025 in Düsseldorf (Germany), Europe’s leading trade show for retail technology. At Booth B45 in Hall 9, the company will present forward-thinking solutions that make retail more efficient, connected, and customer-centric. Under the motto "Shape your Future. Bizerba, a global leader in hardware and software solutions for weighing, slicing, and labeling technologies, is presenting a clear vision for the digital transformation of retail at EuroCIS. The company from Balingen will demonstrate how connected technologies can enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction in modern retail environments.

Focus: self-everything and the modular Q1 expert

A key highlight at the Bizerba booth is the new Q1 expert. This modular retail scale combines technological innovation with user-friendly design. Supporting modern self-service scenarios, the Q1 expert automates critical processes such as product identification, weighing, and labeling – optionally featuring integrated AI-based object recognition. Its modular design ensures flexibility and investment security.

Another standout innovation is the Supersmart Scan-&-Go Loss Prevention System. In an era where self-checkout solutions are increasingly utilized in retail, Bizerba offers a system that addresses the common challenges associated with these technologies. Many retailers struggle with scanning errors that can lead to significant losses. Supersmart tackles this issue: using intelligent hardware components and AI-powered software, every purchase is fully validated within seconds. This not only optimizes checkout times and processes but also significantly reduces revenue losses due to shrinkage.

Technologies and expertise for tomorrow’s retail

Andreas W. Kraut, CEO and shareholder of Bizerba, emphasizes: “Bizerba represents forward-thinking technologies that support retail in its transformation. With the Q1 expert and our self-service solutions, we not only create efficient processes but also set new benchmarks for customer experiences.”

Ante Todoric, Managing Director of the Business Unit Retail at Bizerba, adds: “Retail is evolving rapidly, and at Bizerba, we see it as our mission to provide innovative technologies that address current challenges while creating long-term competitive advantages. With a clear focus on customer centricity and the integration of AI, we design smart concepts and sustainable solutions that help retailers secure their success in the digital era.”

An additional highlight is the speaking engagement of Franziska Klaiber, Team Leader in Product Management Retail at Bizerba. On February 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM, she will speak on the Blue Stage (Hall 10, G65) about "Making Fresh Product Orders Easy: Flexibility Across Online and In-Store Channels." She will explain how customers can place orders flexibly via smartphone, at terminals, or at fresh counters. These orders are transmitted directly to the scale and efficiently processed there.

Global fight against food waste
According to studies, up to one third of all food produced worldwide ends up as waste each year. This alarming figure is a growing concern not only for consumers, but it is also climbing the agenda of both the media and policymakers – especially in light of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12.3, which calls for halving global food waste by 2030. One of the key levers in this effort is the deployment of modern technology across the entire value chain.
