A milestone for the Balingen headquarters

On July 1, 2026, Andreas W. Kraut, CEO and Shareholder of BIZERBA, Angela Kraut, CFO and Shareholder of BIZERBA, and COO Peter Riedel officially inaugurated the new showroom with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The new experience center reinforces the importance of the company's headquarters as its innovation hub while making a visible statement about BIZERBA's future.

"Since our founding in 1866, Balingen has been the heart of BIZERBA. With our new showroom, we are creating a place where customers can experience the full breadth of our solutions firsthand," says Andreas W. Kraut. "This investment reflects our commitment to customer proximity, innovation, and the long-term strengthening of our headquarters."

From production to checkout

The new showroom presents solutions for retail and industry across key process steps - from industrial weighing, inspection, and labeling processes to modern applications for fresh food counters, self-checkout, and merchandise management. Rather than focusing on individual products, the showroom highlights complete workflows and real-world application scenarios.

Visitors can experience technologies such as self-scanning, self-checkout, RFID, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based platform solutions alongside modern industrial applications for inspection, labeling, and automation. The showroom demonstrates how companies can increase efficiency, improve transparency, and successfully respond to the evolving demands of today's markets.

Technology you can experience firsthand

Designed as a state-of-the-art customer experience center, the showroom provides space for individual customer appointments, workshops, training sessions, and live demonstrations. Customers can bring their own products and specific requirements, test solutions under real operating conditions, and work directly with BIZERBA experts to evaluate practical use cases.

For example, visitors can see how an AI-powered X-ray inspection system reliably detects foreign objects in food products - even at high throughput rates - while providing fully documented inspection results. They can also experience how slicers and scales precisely portion delicate fresh products such as roast beef with gram-level accuracy under real-world conditions.

"Retail is undergoing a profound transformation. Self-service, labor shortages, and rising consumer expectations are fundamentally reshaping the industry," explains Ante Todoric, Managing Director of the Business Unit Retail at BIZERBA. "Our showroom demonstrates how intelligent, connected solutions help retailers streamline operations, support their employees, and create a modern shopping experience."

Investing in customer proximity and growth

With an investment of approximately €1.5 million, BIZERBA is strengthening its Balingen headquarters while further expanding its international sales and growth strategy. Going forward, the showroom will serve as a central platform for customer visits, events, and discussions on current market trends and future developments.

“Complex technologies only reveal their full value when experienced as an integrated solution,” says Fred Köhler, Managing Director of the Business Unit Industry at BIZERBA. “Our new showroom enables customers to experience integrated solutions in a realistic, hands-on environment, allowing them to see firsthand how they address their specific requirements and create tangible value.”

In addition to hardware and software, BIZERBA's end-to-end solution portfolio also includes labeling solutions and the corresponding consumables. Tom van Elsacker, Managing Director of the Business Unit Labels & Consumables, emphasizes their role within integrated customer processes: "Our new showroom demonstrates how labeling solutions integrate seamlessly into the broader BIZERBA portfolio, enabling efficient, end-to-end processes."

With its new showroom, BIZERBA reinforces its commitment to supporting customers worldwide as a comprehensive solutions and systems partner while making innovation tangible across the entire value chain.
